I am a physician who founded Peace After Loss in Ellensburg, Washington, to address the often-overlooked connection between grief and mental health. Through my years of experience, I have witnessed the heavy toll that unresolved grief can take on individuals, often manifesting as depression and anxiety. My commitment is to support those navigating these difficult emotions, offering compassionate guidance and effective tools to help them process their grief and prepare for future losses, which are sadly a part of our human experience.
My personal journey with grief began over 40 years ago when I faced the heartbreaking loss of my brother to suicide. Despite reaching out to various counselors and support groups, I often felt lost and hopeless in my healing journey. However, everything changed when I found a counselor trained in the Grief Recovery Method. With their compassionate guidance, I was able to confront and process several painful losses in my life. This transformative experience not only led to my own healing but also inspired me to share this powerful program with others. It is my heartfelt belief that it can offer healing to others in the same profound and meaningful way it helped me.
